Nature Park Resort is a unique new luxury project from Natural Park Development. The site is located between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. It is facing the finest beach of Northern Cyprus, which is NATURE BAY, known as Alagadi to the locals or “turtle beach” which is regarded as one of Cyprus's most distinctive regions. It is within the protected area. This is a protected reserve that is host to the Caretta and the Green Turtles where turtles lay their eggs every year. The beach is open every day between 8 am till 8 pm and our residents have direct access to the beach. It is also 800 m away from Korineum Golf & Country Club, the 18 hole championship golf course. Bird watching, line fishing, kite surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and snorkelling are some of the activities which can be enjoyed in the area. Hiking is an other very loved activity for our residents who chose to have a living space where they can realise their recommended 'minimum 10,000 steps a day' goal for a healthy life, either by walking on the golden sandy beach or by walking among the scents of pine, carob, and olive trees on the skirts of the Five Finger Mountains with a stunning view of a lake stretching along with Nature Park Resort.There are five 5 star hotels and casinos which offer high-class entertainment throughout the year, restaurants and the historic and romantic city of Kyrenia within the 10 minutes distance from the Nature Park Resort. Nature Park and Turtles
Nature Park is supporting the volunteering works of protecting sea turtles to lay their eggs and helping the babies find their way to the sea after hatching! Our residents can be a part of this fascinating experience.
Watch turtles lay their eggs
Turtles lay mostly in late May to early August, with nearly 80 eggs in each of their nests. Something else that you may not know, is that the turtles only have offspring after becoming 15 to 20 years old and can live up to 60 years! Once having spawned their eggs, which have a very soft shell, the turtles cover the nest with sand, in order to ensure their eggs’ protection. All of this happens during the night and our residents can witness this precious moment of these beautiful creatures.
Help the babies find their way to the sea
The baby turtles hatch out of the sand (at nighttime) about two months later. The moment of their hatching is very touching: it is one of the most inspiring things to do in Cyprus and our residents are fortunate enough to experience this marvel of nature! These incredible little creatures, only 6-7 cm long, fight their way from the nest to the sea; it is definitely an extraordinary scene.
Adopt a Sea Turtle
You can adopt a sea turtle or gift it to someone and learn about everything they do in their own nature. You can even check whereabout they are through the chip which can be followed through satellite.
